Located just 15 minutes south of Coffs Harbour, the Raleigh Winery is award-winning. It features a large range of boutique wines, ports, brandy and crème liqueurs, mixed with the stunning views of the Bellinger River and the mountains.
Group bookings are welcomed by appointment and the winery and facilities are accessible to disabled patrons.
Nestled against the Nana Creek, Orara Vale Vineyard is located approximately 25km northwest of Coffs Harbour in the quaint hinterland village of Nana Glen.
You’re more than welcome to pop in unannounced at Orara Wines, where you can sample their wide range of wines at their cellar door and eat your packed lunch in their garden, a known place for local birdlife. A little way down the road, Orara Vale Vineyard recommend you pop into the Kookaburra Café and say hello to the friendly locals there.
The Red Dirt Distillery is for the lover of a fine spirit. Located of the Dorrigo Plateau, just 40 minutes west of Urunga, the team are renowned for the production of unique alcoholic products of amazing quality, all made using local and regional fruits, and the local Dorrigo red dirt Sebago potatoes. Particularly famous within the region is their red dirt vodka, made from their Sebago potatoes.
All products are handmade and available in small production runs, with no additional colourings, flavourings or preservatives. The team are innovators at heart, with a range of natural ice-creams being produced last year made from their liqueurs and spirits. This year they hope to add their own confectionary range to their repertoire. Definitely a must-see for the someone who appreciates a good drink.
